Island destinations are traditionally been considered “Honeymoon Destinations” because of their popularity with honeymooners. Having travelled to many Island destination over the years, let me share my insight into what really makes these islands tick for honeymooners.

Exotic Character

Beaches, palm fringed groves, drives, viewpoints all give Islands an exotic character. Honeymooners love long walk on silver sand beaches, sit by a beach front restaurant and get charmed by the exotic character of the Islands

Weather

Islands especially in Indian Ocean often have tropical weather and therefore good to travel anytime of the year.

Little preparation and Less Hassle

Islands often are getaways where travellers stay for a week or less. This is perfect time for two individuals to relax, spend some time together and get their life started. There is convenient connection from these islands and they often have a simple Visa process (often Visa on arrival). Arriving to large hotels, crowded cities with a bagful of things to do, can take honeymooners away from the prime focus of enjoying the togetherness.
